Why is Pekingise in so many mixes?

Curious, why is there a small amount of pekingese in many of the Embark results?? Where is that coming from? I didn't think that was a common breed like "small poodle." Both of my Chihuahua mixes had a small percentage of Pekingese in them. They don't look like a Pekingese at all.

Considering ICU

Hi all, I have been in med/surg for 10 years as an RN and I've been working at OHSU on an acute care surg floor for 3 yrs. I'd like to try and make the transition to something new. The problem is it's very hard for me to work night shift for lots of reasons. Does anyone have a recommendation on which ICU in OHSU is good to work on or what they are like? Do you think any of the ICUs would ever hire onto day shift with the transition to practice program? Or if I was hired onto nights, is there a quick turn around before getting onto day? I don't think I could work more than 6 months on nights. Thanks!

Getting into OR or periop area as RN

Current OHSU RN here. Anyone know if it might ever be possible to get into the OR or a periop area without prior periop experience? All the periop jobs available require prior experience. Wondering if anyone knows if someday or in the past it was possible to land a periop job at OHSU without that experience. I'd love to "transition to practice" into a new setting to get a change from floor nursing which I have done for many years but I'm not sure how to get there.

I have been working on loose leash walking and recall since I got my puppy. He is 5 months now, got him around 8-10 weeks. He is a chihuahua poodle mutt. Looks like a jack russell terrier. Lots of energy.

With practicing walking in the house, he is great with loose leash walking. Once we get outside, he is good for a little while, and then the environment starts to distract and stress him out. Quickly, he starts pulling ahead hard. I think he has some fear about the environment and he won't accept/ respond to treats. I'm afraid that he's getting used to pulling ahead. We switch between coller and harness. He pulls less with a collar, but still pulls. He is reactive when other dogs go by. But he is starting to get better with that.

For recall, he used to be very consistent. But now as he is getting older, he has become less consistent. In the house, he responds well to "come." But outside he's becoming less consistent off-leash. Sometimes he ignores, other times he will run to me and then start running circles around me. I try not to chase to encourage that. When another dog is around, he barks and runs around. I have done a dog training class already and have done research on how to train puppies. He is consistent with sit and down. Working on stay in the house. Any tips/ideas/steps on how to improve would be helpful!
