Making friends early on

I'm starting 6th form this September, and I was wondering, how easy was it for you guys to make friends/ how quickly did u make friends?

I'd say I'm quite introverted, and I'm kinda scared that I won't make friends easily or quickly. I know I won't make new friends instantly, but there's not many of my immediate friends that are going to my college, let alone picking the same courses, and I just wanted the awkward, no one knows eachother phase to last as little time as possible. The thing I'm worried about is everyone having someone in their class that they know, and me not having anyone to talk to during discussion things.

I also really want extroverted people around me so they make an effort to talk to me and it feels easier than me trying to get the courage to talk to them.

Please help me guys

Physical notes or computer?

I bought myself one of those really nice Oxford writing pads for 6th form, but idk whether I could bring my computer? It's only a Lenovo Chromebook, but it's still quicker than writing, but then again, if I'm writing physical notes, then I can draw quick diagrams, arrows, and shorten words. I did that a lot in history.

What are you guys thinking? And if ur in college now, any tips?

Bags for 6th form

I've seen a few people ask if their bags are okay for 6th form, so I'll ask the same.

AM for NME 2014

I recently bought an nme magazine from 2014, and the last page has an advert for an Arctic Monkeys interview called 'The road to Finsbury Park' and I REALLY want a copy of the actual magazine it's in bc I recently went to Finsbury for the kasabian gig, and it was my first festival so it would be cool to have that. It also includes an interview with miles kane.

Does anyone have it, or know someone that does that will be willing to sell it? Or know somewhere where I can buy it?

I've looked on the nme website for old magazines but that one isn't on there.

A level choices

I recently saw a post that said they were unsure of what to pick bc they liked most of their subjects, but I am still unsure (or was unsure) of what to pick because I genuinely didn't like any of my subjects, apart from art, but I'm sick of that now.

I just had a hard time trying to find what a level subjects I'd enjoy.

I could go to a vocational college, which is nearer to me, but there is nothing there I would enjoy either.

I like practical stuff, mainly working outside, but the only thing that was close to that was animal care or smth, but that was just with small animals and I like working with larger ones, and another kind of 'amimal' college was out of the question for me bc they're too far away, too expensive to board, and my parents wanted me to get qualifications before I start doing the thing I actually enjoy or want to do (I wanted to go the the British racing school on Newmarket, but my parents said to go after college so I had something to fall back on if I didn't like the racing industry)

But the thing is, I wouldn't really want to work in any of the a level subjects that I chose, or even if I wanted to, it would be quite difficult finding a job or work experience that wasn't by word of mouth, or getting chatting to someone that was in that industry

I'm choosing graphics, film and media a level equivalent, criminology

Reiagte College help

MEANT TO BE REIGATE NOT REIAGTE

I know one of the rules is 'nobody want to know what school you go to' but technically I'm not there yet anyway.

None of my close friends are going to the same college I am, so I can't ask them for help with any of the 'new starter tasks'.

I'm doing criminology, graphics and media a level equivalent.

For the media tasks, I don't know how I should present them. Should I make a physical collage of typography examples, or should I do it online them print it out, etc?

And with the other stuff, should I physically write it, or should I type it?

Matt lookalike??

Idk if this is going to get taken down or what, but anyone in the UK that has been watching the show 'The Floor ' - do you think Mackenzie looks a bit like Matt? Like, I was watching and for a second, I genuinely thought it was Matt

A choice of three is my saviour

Just done my GCSE English Language 1.

For the creative writing, I memorised A choice of three, which made my life so much easier.

Last mock, I got like, 30-35/40, so I'm hoping for something as good in this exam.

I thank Alex for his amazing writing skills

Best AM/TLSP songs for leavers?

I wanted to put a lyric from an AM/TLSP song on the collar of my leavers shirt, and I wanted to know what the best lyric for a goodbye, of sorts, is?

I've tried searching online, but most of them are in terms of a relationship, and that doesn't really apply to Yr11 leavers

So my prom is on the 25th June, and I wanted to include some AM and TLSP songs on the playlist, but I'm not sure which ones.

I was aiming for one of each so it's not like, taking over the playlist cos I know most people in my year would listen to rap and drill etc, so I was wondering what y'all think good songs would be if you had to choose one from AM and one from TLSP to go on a prom playlist bc I'm having a hell of a job choosing 😅

I was going to include a miles kane one as well, but I already k ow which one I want for that.

Lmk what y'all think!
