for those of you who scribe in-person, realistically how many “hats” do you wear for your clinic?

recently transitioned from virtual to in-person scribing and a bit shocked by everything I’m asked to do as a scribe to the point where there isn’t time to prepare or close charts (the job I was hired to do!)

i handle everything from patient scheduling, insurance verification, restock, managing our drug cart, procedure prep and assistance, and cleaning the clinic….

there are just sooo many inefficient clicks to get information to where it's supposed to go...

at a new scribe job, learning a new EMR, but i'm used to being able to move super quickly in Epic
