Fogstar battery in loft safe ?

Fogstar battery in loft safe ?

Hi,

I am looking at replacing my Growatt batteries with the Fogstar battery listed here:

https://www.fogstar.co.uk/collections/solar-battery-storage/products/fogstar-energy-stackable-5kwh-battery.

My question is, would these work effectively in a typical London terrace loft space given the varied temperatures (i.e., cold in the winter and hot in the summer months)? My Growatt SPH 3000 inverter is located in the loft, and I was thinking of adding a few of these batteries.

TIA

Air con Unit front garden London

I'm getting quotes for an AC unit, and for my living room, we want to place the outdoor unit corner of the front drive. I'm just worried if that's allowed under Permitted Development. Anyone in London have experience with this? Thanks!

Quote for air 2 air London

Hi everyone,

Looking for a quick sanity check on a quote I received for an air conditioning installation in North London.

The property is a house, and the scope covers:

* **Ground Floor (Open-Plan Kitchen):**

* Daikin 7.1kW Wall-Mounted Single Split (Indoor: FAA71B / Outdoor: RZASG71MV1)

* Price: £2,900 + VAT

* **1st Floor (3 Bedrooms + Office):**

* Daikin 10kW Single Split Ducted System serving all 4 rooms

* Includes 4 grilles, plenum boxes, and flexible ducting

* Price: £4,200 + £1,380 (accessories) + VAT

* **Electrical Work:**

* Additional wiring/switches (£750 + VAT)

* **Total:** £9,230 subtotal + £1,846 (20% VAT)

= **£11,076 total**

* **Warranty:** 5 years parts / 1 year labour (subject to annual servicing)

  1. Does £11k total sound reasonable for this scope with Daikin equipment in London?

  2. Has anyone successfully claimed 0% VAT under the Energy-Saving Materials scheme for air-to-air heat pump installations recently? The installer quoted 20% VAT, but I've heard air-to-air units might qualify.

  3. For those with a single ducted system covering multiple upstairs rooms, do you find single-zone temperature control works fine, or is individual room zoning essential?

Thanks in advance for any insights!
