Bali Pass May ‘26
Batch - 10th to 17th May (Trek The Himalayas)
Just came back from the most insane experience of my life. When I signed up for Bali Pass Trek, I think I took it a bit lightly, thinking, “I’ve done Roopkund and Chadar, how hard can it be?” (LMAO) I was so wrong.
The way this trek challenged me every single day, mentally and physically, I can genuinely say something changed in me. At the summit, I didn’t expect to cry, but the second I reached, I felt so overwhelmed that I broke down immediately. In that moment, the mountains no longer felt like just rocks, but like large sentient beings that gave us the opportunity to witness them.
Treks and expeditions often feel like something you conquer, but this experience made me realise that you don’t conquer the mountains, they let you conquer them. To feel so small in the bigger scheme of things was a truly humbling experience. I hope I never forget that feeling.
I remember the day before the summit, while making my way from Odari to Bali Col. The ascent was so steep that I felt almost broken and completely beaten down. I turned to my new trek friend and said, “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” to which he replied, “yet.” And that just stuck with me.
I feel like this trek started something in me that goes far beyond achievements and challenges.
