In search of: a trustworthy contractor to build a Privacy Fence in Ferndale

Hello Ferndale! I'm a Royal Oak-ian about to buy a place in Ferndale (hopefully). The house lacks a back fance and I have dogs so I will need to add one. Can someone recommend a reliable contractor for a privacy fence? It's a substantial amount of length. Maybe 50 yards total. Thanks in advance!

Snaphook + deadline + descender is my new favorite thing

Didn't fully appreciate the descender until I saw a video of someone using it this way. Also great for hopping off the queen/matriarch.

Pegasus 24g with switch points

They’re nice! This is my first decent set after getting in to this hobby. Thanks to the redditor that recommended these to me.

I opted for the switchable points, is it normal for those to be kinda not super tight? I can unscrew them by hand, I don’t need the tool. I have to tighten them every so often.

Hit two Robin Hood’s in my first game, not sure if that’s good or bad lol

Not enough triangles??

I seek the wisdom of the council. I am an amateur, let me be up front. This is a new-ish mostly trex deck that is attached to a house I am considering buying. What do you guys think? I’m impressed with the gravel pad underneath, properly peaked in the center, but I’m concerned the deck itself has a lack of triangles in the bracing. And I see the ledger is drilled directly into the siding. What do yall think?

This is fine, I’m fine with it

Idk if this was on the server side or just my connection but I was screaming

Hello /r/Darts! Been lurking here for a while. I am brand new to the game, just started about 2 months ago. I have a bunch of question I’m hoping folks can answer:

  1. I received my board and darts as a gift. I tossed the package to the darts before I realized I might want to know what weight they are. I like how big and heavy they are compared to another more straight barrel/lighter weight viper set I also received. I’m interesting in upgrading, but how do I determine what weight these darts are? I have a kitchen scale, do I weigh the whole thing? Or remove the stem/flight and just weight the barrel and point? I am attaching a pic, they are Viper brand. I found this set on Amazon but they come in several weight options so I’m unsure.

  2. I believe I am a “front gripper” based on what others have discussed here. I attached a pic of my grip, the base of the point rests on my middle finger. Any particular dart recommendation? Ideal budget is $50 to $75.

  3. I live in a major metro area in SE Michigan and I can’t seem to find any dart shops where I could go test out different darts. Best advice on how to select darts in my situation?

  4. I’m attaching a screenshot of my Dartsmind cricket stats (I’ve only just started on X01, which I like but prefer cricket). I’m trending upwards but would like to keep improving. Any tips, other than lots of practice? I did find a nearby bar that has a tournament night and went once, it’s very different playing in public when the pressure is on!

  5. I am super in to this new hobby and I expect it to be a lifelong thing. I’m middle-aged and I know all to well that bad form leads to injuries. And tips you’d like to share with a newbie that you wish someone had told you when you were first getting started?

  6. When I throw, my hand naturally rotates the dart and gives it some spin as it leaves my hand. Should I stop this habit? It seems to be working okay, but I’m unsure if it’s bad practice.

Thank you in advance for any tips!
