Journalist covering working conditions of postmen during the heatwaves

Hey there!

I am a student and freelance investigative journalist and am doing my master's degree university project at City, University of London looking into the working conditions of postmen and couriers during the current heatwaves.

I get the sense from looking at this sub that experiences haven't been great. I think many people would be outraged to hear that vital frontline workers are basically being told to get on with it, with apparently little safety protections in place.

Amnesty International and Transparency International criticise Thangam in this article for working for a lobbying firm representing a foreign state while she is a member of the House of Lords.

The UAE is “widely accused of backing the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group, which has committed mass killings and widespread human rights abuses in Sudan’s civil war.”

The firm also represents Larry Ellison’s Oracle.
