What every chaos gods factions needs - opinions

As the title says. Here’s my takes on some units the chaos gods need to expand their ranges.

Tzeentch - some kind of sniper unit. Idk why we don’t get tzaangors as bowmen would be nice, but it’s weird that none of the tzeentch daemons have precision keyword.

Khorn - a bulky elite unit. Not mounted , not character related. Like eight bound or exalted eight bound but give them Cleave, cuz … khorn.

Slaanesh - rapid ingress fighter(s) ((?)). Instead of bulk attacks like khorn with cleave, probably give lethal hits / precision. Ie the reward IS rolling high. Maybe make it do something based on the distance of the charge length succeeded ?

Nurgle - probably the hardest to say needs something , but could absolutely benefit from some kind of ranged infantry unit. Like 12” D3 or d6 flamers and let you take them in squads of 5-10. Not crazy high tough like the rest, but give the flamers the selection of anti (infantry/ beast/swarm) at the start of game.

Tsons vs CD (tzeentch only)

I see what a lot of people are talking about.

The Tsons detachments and access to alot of reasonably priced vehicles that have good guns as well as rerolls on top of spells is a major jump to get over.

The list I played against was 2 daemonprinces , one with and one without wings, Ahriman , zangor shaman , 2 defilers, 2 forge fiends, one mauler , two sets of setter robots (one was a 2 man, the other was a 4).

Turn one and two were pretty square, forcing him to set up and travel the board to interact with my army (he was priority assets vs disruption). Pinks and blues did a fair amount of splitting - genuinely didn’t know defilers had that many guns and a good melee profile.

Turn 3 a lot turned in my favor - both daemonprinces were dead, defiler died to failed battleshock taking D3 mortals and the lone sekatar on the same flank died to blues/brimstones.

Fateskimmer was essentially traded to keep his units from coming down the board.

58-92 - he ended up getting tabled after killing one of my two LoC.

I again can’t stress how tight the first two rounds were and how conservative I needed to play to not get shot off the board or trade units unfavorably. The 4+++ and 4++ really were the things that made the match playable. - is this everyone’s else experience? What gap do other factions exploit on them?

CD ranked test -mono tzeentch-

Making this to get a feel for others opinions and maybe some critiques.

Out of 4 games 3 of my opponents were purge the foe. I played disruption.

Results as follows
Nids - purge - loss (called at round 4 score was 76 to 78 but I had nothing else to fight monster mash - playing it out , he’d of at best scored another 15 the next round off primary and secondaries, I’d of at best scored 7. Leading us at 83-93 , shook hands was a great match)

Votann - purge - win (he called turn 3 after both land fortresses and Sagittarius got were gone and couldn’t deal with the LoC eating units ) score played out was 95-67

Dark angles - disrupt win - called at the top of turn 2 in his command phase. Lost his land raider and bike squad with Samuel due to poor positioning. Refused to play anything out. To granted me a 100-0 score and the guy left

World eaters - purge - win 93-80 game was really decided turn 3-4 when Angron failed a 6” charge and kharns squad failed to kill a LoC (not all of his units could fight due to positioning and screening.) very close all game.

Is purge really this popular? I’m down for fighting “Killy” lists, it’s just like 8th but way less alpha strike-y.

Torn between two lists

Sup demons.

I’m at a crossroads , I’m about three games deep competitively and my tzeentch SLC+C list is doing great. High scores or concedes by turn 3.

My split in the road is my fate skimmer +6 screamers block. They seem to constantly under preform.
Vs a norm assimilator in a monster stampede + norm detachment it took them 4 turns to kill it. This is also getting to fall back, kiaros shooting and then it getting charged again.

Vs votann …. They finished off a land fortresses 1 wound and then only the fate skimmer was left next turn due to deepstrike shooting/melee.

I just want more consistency so I’m looking at either a daemon prince or DP with wings.

Dp would keep both my pink horror squads with stealth and -1 to hit. Making them -2 to hit all game (one ability affects bs, the other the hit roll) or a winged to quickly engage threats with the neverblade to get 10 smash attacks and help balance the list vs melee threats like the norn assimilator.

Chaos daemons cavalcade and cover question

Would a unit of pink horrors receive cover if a flux master is attached ?

The flux master would give the unit mounted, but they also would retain the infantry key word.

Buffs for tzeentch daemons so far..

With the change to covers, psychic weapons, multiple detachments, etc. a short list of buffs to tzeentch daemons is as follows.

-nearly all (looking at you grinder) weapons ignore hit/wound mods due to psychic.
-short range units is no longer a hindrance due to terrain giving hidden. -1 to bs is huge. Currently stackable with fluxmasters to create -2 to hit.
-being able to possibly be able to run Scintillating L with shadow or really any other detachment helps cover the melee issues T-demons have and both will receive benefits.

Ngl it’s got me cutting out and assembling my last 10 pink and blue horrors from my 3rd warp fire cavilcade box that I got back in March. Fweaken hyped for 11th!
