The new material is making my hijab journey much harder because they’re so plasticy and don’t sit right without pins which I don’t like using. I’ve stopped buying from vela completely even when they restock colors i’ve been wanting for a long time because of this. Vela team if you’re here lurking (and I know you are) pleaseeee release more cool toned neutrals, blues, greens, and reds. Especially neutrals!! I want to see more drops like pearl stone, truffle mushroom, deep oak, etc. More gray toned, icy cool neutrals that are wearable! Everything is soooo warm or, at best, neutral. I’d love to see more gray browns, gray beiges, icy neutrals. A blue based red, deep wine, or more cool purples would be amazing too. Everything has too much warmth right now. Thank you in advance!

I have a few velas that are very stiff and I really want them to go back to their original buttery state. I know there have been a few discussions on here about softening velas but I wanted to ask if anyone has any tried and true methods.

Alsooo if anyone has any tips for gently removing stains/marks without ruining the fabric, I would be sooo appreciative! I’m always so scared to clean my velas but I have a few with spots that need to be addressed

salam girls! to prevent waste, i’ve been junk journaling with my vela hijab packaging for a few years now. it’s a really cute and creative way to keep track of my vela collection and reduce plastic waste. because i started journaling way after i started building my collection, there are a lot of scarves and postcards im missing. if anyone keeps theirs and would be willing to ship them to me via depop please let me know!

for clarification, I collect the packaging the hijabs come in that have the names of the hijabs on them. I also only use the ones from vela’s older packaging & not the new design. for postcards, i’m referring to the cute cards they include in the packages for each drop. i especially love the ramadan ones so please please dm if you have 🦋

Ocelot, giraffe, orchid bloom, and baby pink floral had a delayed shipment until “the week of June 29th” per vela’s website. Has anyone’s order with one of these shipped yet? I ordered giraffe and ocelot and my order has not moved at all since Tuesday.

I placed another order that didn’t have any of these and that one hasn’t shipped yet either. Have everyone else’s orders been shipped?

does anyone have the original meadow sage from the first drop and is open to selling? I feel like the restock is darker than the original scarf, and I really wanted the original shade 😭

surprised that it’s already thursday and they’ve done no teasers, no promo, and no official previews of the spring collection. this is usually their second most anticipated collection after ramadan so I find it really strange that they’re still promoting their “spring edit” scarves that aren’t selling instead of their upcoming SPRING COLLECTION being released in 5 days.
