Switching to MnK from controller was hard. Switching to Wooting was easy.

Being a 20+ year controller player, switching to mouse and keyboard has been quite the journey. Started with my OG Logitech, went into the Razer ecosystem, switched to glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE (beautiful but terrible software and found it hard to type), and finally landed on my endgame keyboard with the 60HE V2. Loving it so far!

I went stock aluminum case and split spacebar. If you had an extra $100, what would you mod first, or keep as is and use the $ elsewhere?

Wooting 60 V2 or steelseries Apex Pro Mini Gen 3?

Title pretty much sums up the ask, but for more context I have a Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE for my keyboard. It’s a beautiful keyboard, but my lord does the core software suck…it’s a joke. I’ve also wanted a 60% for a while.

I was going to get the Apex Mini gen 3 on sale at Best Buy for $168, as I already have a steelseries headset and use the GG software (isn’t the best but at least works), but the aluminum 60 v2 looks more premium (I love the weight and feel of my GMMK), and I’ve heard wootility is the best KB software on the market (or web utility if you go that route). Testing the Apex Mini in store it felt on the cheaper side.

Anyone have experience with both in terms of sound/feel/overall impressions? I know both have similar ability/customization for actuation, rapid trigger, SOCD etc, and that Wooting can go up to 8k polling. But I guess the real question is, is Wooting really as good as the internet says to help push me to spend a bit more? Or should I save $70 and be happy with Apex Mini Gen 3?
