Step 1: Add wild bird seed to quart jars just below half full (400mL mark on mine). No rinse. No soak. No simmer.
Step 2: Add water until level with surface of grain. Makes 1lb on the dot.
*Note: This ratio (2:1 WBS to water by weight) works for containers of all sizes, just leave room for expansion.*
Step 3: Wipe jar rims clean, add lids of your choice (not airtight!), cover with foil.
Step 4: PC for 90min at 15psi, +2min per 1000ft of elevation. Follow your PC’s instructions for safe operation.
Step 5: While hot, break and shake the wet clump at the bottom. Shake again after cooling.
