My Debut novel is out now on amazon.

Tomorrow We Work

A gritty coming-of-age story of friendship, weekend escapes, and going nowhere fast

Eddie is nineteen and struggling.

Trapped in a small English village where every day feels the same and nothing ever changes. He lives for the weekend: pints, parties, and the people he’s grown up with.

But by Sunday, the money’s running out.

And so are his mates.

Set over one blistering hot day in the mid-2000s, the story follows Eddie and his friends through hangovers, fallouts, and the quiet moments in between. Can Eddie hold on until the end of the day when everything is falling apart?

Part memoir, part twisted fantasy, this is a story about mental health, village life, and the complicated bonds between young men.

For fans of Trainspotting and This Is England - a darkly funny, brutally honest look at young men, weekends, and going nowhere fast.

‘Like a cross between The Football Factory and Last of the Summer Wine. Gritty, absurd, and painfully nostalgic.’ - Jack Grady

I had a great friends & family launch. What's next? Advertise or keep writing?

I released my debut novel last week and have been overwhelmed with the response so far. Over 40 copies sold so far, pretty much all to friends and family from the area I grew up in. As the book is part memoir, there's been a lot of interest within the village it's based on.

But now comes the hard part, pushing the book to people who don't know me. A lot of copies have been sold for cash after I ordered copies from amazon, so I may struggle to get the reviews I need to make it stand out on Amazon. Any suggestions on when I should start advertising on amazon, or social media in a wider setting?

Again it's my first book, already writing the second in the series but will probably wait a while before releasing that. It was a big ask to get people to buy the 1st one, can't be releasing books all the time.

I missed all my self-set deadlines, and messed up the book launch, but my debut novel is now out on Amazon.

I had planned to have this written by Christmas day, edited by Easter, and out for my birthday. Missed all those deadlines. And then I woke up today to see that it had gone live on Kindle instead of releasing same day as the paperback. Just gonna roll with it.

I'll throw up the info here, if anyone wants to check it out. It's very mid 2000s England orientated. Think burberry shirts, Clubland Floorfillers, and 2for1 shots before 10pm

I messed up on my release date. Should I tell people?

Hi there, I was planning on releasing my debut novel on June 1st and have built up a little buzz with friends and family. Only problem is I just got a email saying the kindle version is live now on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. In my haste to get it sorted before I went on holiday I must not have selected the right date for release.

Should I let people know they can read it early, or say nothing until the release date. I'm away on holiday without my laptop so don't want to take it down incase I don't have time to upload it again before the deadline.

Most of my friends want to buy a physical copy anyway, so this could just be a bonus for the Kindle Unlimited subscribers?
