Unlike the popular opinion, really like the front muscular design language of the car.
However the infotainment system feels v off.
Waiting for the red color. It would surely have a noticeable road presence.
Makes me wonder if the amaze is also gonna get the upgrade soon
Went to the store yesterday to get the M5 Air 16, 512. Was fully convinced this is what I will take because Neo was apparently highlighted for its limitations by fancy tech reviewers.
When I went & saw it in person, Neo impressed me a lot. The built is equally good compared to Air & Pro. (Just more real estate)
I conducted a stress test & it moved to swap memory pretty soon. There's significant lag once it gets into the yellow zone but mind it, I had opened atleast 10 tabs with 4k yt videos, a video conferencing & a couple other random tabs.
I conducted the same test on the Air & it's 100% smoother. If I have to give a number, Air is 25-30% better in terms of handling processing heavy task but twice as expensive.
But for 25/30 days, I know I'll never push it to those limits so instead of getting Air, I went ahead with Neo 512 & in September I plan to get the M5 Mac Mini (🤞🏻 hope I get more clients on-board)
I also got a 24" monitor which will pair w Neo for now & seamlessly w the mini later.
If you're doing heavy rendering work, laptops are anyways not the best option.
If what you do mostly is review your team's work, use LLMs to write, SEO, Canva, under 4k video editing, Neo is pretty good.
Get the 512 instead of 256 because it comes with touch ID plus that 256 runs out pretty quickly.
Colorwise I think indigo & silver are still v classy.
Love how the web cam is completely invisible.
