How to pay for bus/train tickets?

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I just moved to the area two days ago. I don’t drive, so when my boyfriend is at work I’ll be taking public transportation everywhere. Silly question: what’s the best way to pay for it? I know back in Pittsburgh we had an app for it, or we could buy physical tickets or pay with cash if we preferred. Is it the same way here?

EDIT: thanks for the suggestions everyone! I downloaded the transit app and it looks really easy to use so I think that’ll be my go to :)

I’ve only been here for a little under two months and I already hate this place.

Between not being properly trained, to being told I would simply have to direct customers to red vest associates (I’m an MST) but said red vest associates being nowhere to be found, to being talked down to/talked to like I’m stupid because I’m neurodivergent, to the products app being pretty much fucking useless…..yeah it’s safe to say I’m already over this place.

I leave work everyday sore as hell and I am genuinely so over it. not just my feet, but my back and arms too. what are some shoes yall would recommend so I don’t leave work nearly limping in pain every day?

I’m so excited to start this journey in a new state and essentially start over. My boyfriend and I are touring some perspective apartments next week and I just wanted to get some opinions on them from potential current (or past) tenants. Here’s the places we currently have approved showings for:

  1. Red Door Living

  2. The Shoreham Apartments

  3. Clifton Lake Apartments

please let me know if you’ve stayed at any of these properties and what you think/thought!
