Why does my territory never decay on this save?

For multiple generations now, my territory (the purple) literally NEVER decays -- when it does, howling once gets it back up to 100%. This doesn't happen for any of my other games, only this one, and none of the wolves I've played as have had the territorial might perk, is it a bug? It is kind of nice to never worry about territory though lol

What's supposed to happen to your mate when you die?

My wolf just died and I chose to play as one of her pups instead of her mate, I read the pop up very briefly about what happens to your mate and I thought it said they'd disperse but he's lowkey still here, does it take awhile for them to disperse? Sorry if this is a stupid question I'm just kind of confused 😭
