AIO: it annoys me when my boyfriend grabs me
Every time I (31F) tell my boyfriend (31M) something, he dissects it further after the fact. I do my best to explain my perspective and why I feel the way I feel, then a few hours later he’ll send me a text looking for more clarity on the matter.
For example, this morning I was making our son breakfast before daycare. As I was scrambling eggs, my boyfriend came over and just started grabbing me, my ass, my chest, and hovered over me as if it were the time and place for something to happen…. It annoys me… And I told him that. I used the word groped instead of grabbed, but this isn’t the first time I’ve told him I don’t like just being grabbed like a GD stress ball. It happens often when I’m in the kitchen, and on multiple occasions I’ve told him I don’t like it. Time and place.
Then after he left for the day, he sent me a screenshot of the literal definition of groping, and asks “is that how you feel? Not starting a problem just don’t really want that to happen”
Like how much clearer could I have been the first time?! It’s annoying. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the affection, but it’s too much sometimes… sometimes a soft kiss on the cheek would do just fine. Am I overreacting!?
