wanted to show off my current setup. i’m really enjoying iisu and it feels like it’s the best of both worlds for me rn

i took this picture for other reasons aha but i can’t say how much i genuinely love typing on my thinkpad. i’m using the x230 which i upgraded with 16gb of ram, it has a 1tb ssd and an upgraded 90wh battery. i did replace the x230 palm rest for an x220 one. i love this thing so much, it’s gotten me back into journaling for my own mental health

i feel so good when typing on it, it makes me look forward to writing. i use obsidian for writing anything and everything lately so i use that to help organize things. i’ve also been using it to script youtube videos and it’s the first time in a long time for me that i’ve been able to do so effortlessly. it’s like it allows my mind to be clear and just write

i know it’s not really a diy writer deck but at this point, all i use it for is writing and i love it. i use it almost every day. when i bought this little laptop, i was just going to use it for keeping my online business stuff organized. i had no idea it was going to make such an impact in my life and give me the freedom to be creative with my words

changed my desk setup yet again but i like it. a friend gifted me a huge monitor and i had to figure out a way to actually be able to use it. i think it worked out well and now i have a lot of room on my desk for when i want to work on crafts or draw. super nice, hope i spend more time here now that it isn’t such a mess!

i have also changed my pc case since the last setup to the xtia xproto mini and i like it. it looks really cool and barely takes up any space. it’ll be handy for a future lan party.

desk is still entirely the same. some generic 12” bed stands for legs from amazon and the anfallare bamboo tabletop from ikea. i love the look of the bamboo it is so clean.

hey guys i just wanted to show off this commission i just finished. i think it looks sick! this is the first time i’ve been able to do a windowed design. i want to make more cool skins that behave more like a frame for your top panel so your shell’s color comes through. this was for a client who had a purple shell so i think it’ll look really cool! this took me almost a month to make but i think all that time was worth it. a lot of material and days of hours of work later, this is the final result. what do you guys think?

for research, i watched the shin godzilla movie. being a fan of godzilla for a long time, i still had never watched this one. after the movie, shin godzilla has become my favorite retelling of the iconic kaiju. the director went nuts. that one scene when he absolutely wrecks tokyo is peak. which godzilla movie is your favorite? i would love to know :D
