How can a flight quadruple in cash element cost from the search page to the purchase page?
First time trying to use avios so please please let me know if I'm being thick...
Looking to book two seats BKK to LGW in November, when you search it gives an attractive price of 38500 avios plus £30, but the cash component goes up 4 times if you click through to the next page.
What gives?
The price with the higher cash is not that competitive to purge airlines doing the same/similar route (we actually want to start in Laos but BA doesn't fly there...)
