Swallowing food with a scope in my throat!

I realized I’m not chewing with my mouth closed! How impolite! 😆🙊 #swallow #swallowing #swallowchallenge #vocalcords #scope #builtbar

Singing “Part of Your World” from Disney’s The Little Mermaid with a scope in my throat!

Do you know what your vocal cords look like? I always recommend that singers and other types of professional voice users get scoped to get a baseline exam. In reality, almost everyone uses their voice for something, so this applies to you! Save a video of your vocal cords on your phone so that if you experience a change in your voice, you know what your vocal cords look like at baseline, and so does your voice doctor! Thanks for Lillian Endy, SLP, for keeping the scope steady!

Queen of the Night aria with a scope in my throat!

The coloratura soprano aria, “Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen" (Queen of the Night aria) from Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) by Mozart has been the most challenging for me to sing while scoped so far because of its high range, rapid change of notes, and little time to breathe between phrases. Thanks to Dr. Malia Gresham for scoping me and keeping up with all the movement! #opera #scope #soprano #coloratura #queenofthenight
