White power indicator LED activated on RTX 5080 Aorus Master after booting up PC, went away after shutting down and restarting. Didn't come back when stress testing.
Had this card for a year and as far as I can tell it still works perfectly fine even under heavy load. Just woke up and was greeted by the white GPU power indicator LED next to the GPU cable following a fresh boot. Turning the PC off completely and then turning it back on again made it go away. I read somewhere that it's only a problem if the white LED is flashing (mine wasn't, it was just "on"), because the LED can sometimes bug out allegedly because of firmware issues. Still, I checked the cable on GPU and PSU side to look for damage and saw nothing, no smell of burning plastic either. So far it hasn't come back when I put load on the GPU (I will update if it does come back in the future). Power supply is RM750x from Corsair with custom Corsair cable which supports both the RTX 5080 and this model PSU as per Corsair.
Does anyone even know what the LED indicates? Voltage spikes, unstable power? Why does the light stay on permanently but goes away after restarting? Why show up after a cold start but not under heavy load?
