1981 Ford Thunderbird
Hello, I'm trying to fix a 1981 Ford Thunderbird, it stopped running shortly after purchasing it, I was told to replace the carburetor, after replacing, it won't run it just cranks, there's a rattling coming from the starter solonied, so I bought a new one and installed it how the original was, but now it won't start or crank anymore, wondering if I did something wrong or need to fix something specific first

I'm also working mainly by myself to fix this so I don't really have a clue what I'm doing, I bought a manual and a repair/maintenance book
