I've bought and used Skullcandy neckband earbuds forever. Now that I want to buy another one, I can't find them anywhere. Did they stop making them? If so, why?

Hello. I'm in BC

A few months ago, I gave someone a ride home after an event where they were upset about a personal situation. During the drive, I placed my hand briefly on their knee while asking how they were doing as my way of comforting them. There was no sexual intent.

Recently, this person made public posts on social media accusing me of “groping” them and implying I’m unsafe. The posts are affecting my reputation and have already impacted business relationships.

A few relevant points:

• I have screenshots of the posts and comments
• They continued to interact with me and patronize my business
• There are now others joining in on this

I understand defamation is difficult to deal with in court. I'm not at that point, and most liekly never will get to that point. I want to know if this is in fact a case of defamation, and if so where I can go to get a demand letter written.

Slight tangent, but should I reach out to the individual myself and extend an olive branch? Let them know if they want to talk, that I'm here, ect? OR should I stay totally silent?
