Looking for someone to take over my roommate’s lease starting August 1, 2026. Rent is $910 total, so per room it is $455. Single room in a secluded nature filled area in Iowa City. It’s about a 5-8 minute drive from downtown. Garage is included in rent and the only utilities we are responsible for are electric and internet (~65 per person monthly). There is an additional $70/year fee for required renter’s insurance. Coin laundry in building. Apartment is no smoking but smoking on property is fine. Applicant would have to apply with a $25 fee through my landlord and be able to provide proof of reasonable income/credit/background check. Room does not come furnished but common spaces are!

I’m 24 and work full time as a dental assistant. I’m a fairly reserved person but can warm up to others quickly and would like a roommate with strong, effective communication skills. I appreciate keeping common spaces clean and would love a similarly quiet roommate. Potential roommates must be LGBTQ+ friendly.
