Birthday song for an 18 year old

I'm DJing at an 18th birthday party next month and I wondered if there were any "Birthday" themed songs that would be a good idea to have in the bag just in case they ask for something (like after an announcement/speech or whatever). I usually play Stevie Wonder's "Happy Birthday" but I'm used to playing to Millenials/Gen X-ers so I think I probably need some more contemporary options.

They are into early 00s music so it doesn't need to be super-new, but some suggestions from 21st century would be good!

Questions for Intellijel Metropolix owners

I'm considering swapping my Rene Mk2 for Metropolix. I feel like I'm reaching the end of the road in what René can do in the context of my music (which isn't particularly experimental) and would like to try out the possibilites of another sequencer. I'm currently using it alongside Euclidean Circles and a couple of precision adders to add additional CV (Which actually comes from Syntakt MIDI via Befaco MIDI Thing).

There's a few things which are pretty much essential to my performances, that I can do with my current setup, and I wondered if any owners could tell me if these things were possible on Metropolix too. I've watched a few videos but it's not clear from them.

  1. Does the MIDI-in work like a precision adder? So can I send it a MIDI signal (say like, the root notes) and then this combines with the CV from MEtropolix? Or would I need a separate precision adder?
  2. Is it easy to shorten and lengthen sequences very quickly on the fly? ie as part of performance?
  3. Can sequence length be assigned to one of the knobs?
  4. Is it possible to set it up so you can play one of the knobs or sliders like a quantized offset? Or does that require an external offset module? So you wiggle the knob/slider and it runs up and down the notes of the selected scale?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I hope someone here is able to help - hopefully this is the right sub for this question! I'm autistic and not so great at dealing with this sort of thing, so your patience would be appreciated.

I recently moved from being employed full-time to being part-time, and also self-employed.
I pay child maintenance monthly based on my wages.

I need to contact Child Maintenance (CM) to tell them about my change in income. It's basically going to be lower than what I currently earn, but I will still pay the same amount of Maintenance because I'd rather the amount my daughter gets doesn't reduce (unless things get really bad)

In submitting this change to CM, they have asked me: "How much do you expect your business turnover to be when you submit your Self Assessment tax return?"

Well I honestly have no idea. My self employed income will be sporadic due to the nature of the work I do. Some months it will be £500, others it might be £50.

I don't want to get into any kind of trouble for estimating a lot higher or lower on this.

Can anyone advise the best way for me to estimate my turnover? I've only had one month of self employment so it's not really easy to do that.

The same goes for my expenses - it's really hard to predict what that is going to be and I don't want to get it wildly wrong.

I've tried calling CM but I've heard conflicting things from them, and I'm usually on hold for at least an hour.

If anyone could offer any advice I'd really appreciate that.

TIA.
