Am I being scammed?

Hi, I ordered an ex demo shed with installation using buy it now. The seller messaged and said they’re mega busy and not in my area for 8 weeks so could they book in for late September at 3pm (very specific).

I’ve now (2 days later) got a dispatch notification with a Royal Mail tracking number.

Seller only has 13 feedback on a “Acme Sheds” type profile.

I’m getting suspicious. Does the dispatch potentially mean I can’t file a “item not received” claim if they don’t turn up in 8 weeks?

Any steer on what to do now to protect myself and not lose £650?

Thanks for feedback

How do they sleep so much?

If sleeping becomes a sport, she’s got this nailed. I think she’s sleeping or relaxing for 22 hours of the day. Sleeps all night, gets up to say good morning then it’s time for a nap. Mid morning breakfast which needs a good sleep to get over. Walk at about 2pm, not too strenuous, it’s been a hard day. Sleep for the rest of the afternoon before dinner, some time to rest in the garden and perhaps a quick play for my benefit at 8pm before settling down for the night.

She was a monster T rex for 2 years. At three she’s a grade A couch potato, anyone struggling through the early years (I posted here for help 2 years ago!) - there is hope!

Therapy Service

Does anyone volunteer their Newf for therapy services?

My girl is almost 3 and calming down nicely now,
I would say 23 hours out of the day in full couch potato mode. She sleeps more than I thought possible outside of wild animals that hibernate.

She loves loves loves people, and is at her happiest with an orderly queue waiting to meet and greet.

She’s especially fond of people with additional needs - kids with obvious challenges,
elderly folk, partially sighted… wheelchairs are a particular favourite.

I’m considering seeing if I can get her a regular gig as a volunteer pat / recovery dog at our local hospital.

Has anyone done this? I’m in the uk and looking for tips or experiences.

My main concern is her size and her enthusiasm. I know our local hospital has a pat dog - a chihuahua so a lot lot smaller. She does have an initial burst excitement with her first interaction - with some risk of jumping (working in that). Once she gets that out of her system (normally less than 30 seconds and only with the first person to say hi) she’s very calm. I’m hoping a few more months of maturity will help with this.
