Why leave the commander wreck to be resurrected?

Total noob here, trying to learn the ropes, watching games on YouTube to see how team games go. I understand that it makes sense for some players to self-destruct their commanders to get some extra metal. But then why are there cases where those same players leave the wreck just lying there to be resurrected? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of self-destructing in the first place?

Controls stop working after death

Hope this is the right place to ask about this; could be an issue with vanilla Fallout 4, but I wouldn't know as I never played the latter on PC. I just survived the train crash, and since I'm playing on Survival difficulty, even basic enemies are posing a real problem, leading to a lot of deaths. Every time I die, my movement controls stop working -- can't use WASD, can't even look around, can't access pip boy either. Hitting ESC for the menu does work, and oddly enough, the crouch/sneak button also works. But I have to quit back to the menu and reload to be able to play properly.

Didn't have this problem while I was still escaping the lab, which is why I think it might be a problem with Fallout London, something about the scripted train sequence. I did try manually disabling the gamepad in Fallout4Prefs.ini, it didn't help. Any ideas for a workaround? Might resolve itself once I find a new save point, but due to the extreme difficulty that might be awhile.

[EDIT] Confirmed, it's a problem with the train sequence. Once I found a bed and dropped a save, the problem resolved itself.

Minimalist electronic piece, music video has collage of advertisements

The song I'm looking for is recent (last few years), it's a minimalist electronic piece, no vocals, slightly reminiscent of Philip Glass. Artist has a normal name, like Sam something-or-other. Title is something like "A Feeling of Drawing Closer". The music video is what really stands out -- it's an abstract collage of hundreds of advertisements and other commercial media (coupon catalogues, Pantone, etc.) that flash by in rapid succession, and they get used to create kind of simple geometric patterns.

With all those details I should be able to find the song easily. But I've been beating my head against it for several days, searching Google and YouTube, trying every variation and permutation I can think of, and haven't turned it up. I should even have the artist buried somewhere in my Spotify library, which I've scoured back to front a couple times without success. It's driving me crazy.
