Ruger might’ve edged out Kidd

I gotta say, my Ruger factory slop bolt eats more ammo than a Kidd. Kidd bolt is picky and has more light strikes. I save those and use it in my early 2000s 10/22 and it shoots them every time. Ammo range from CCI, Winchester, SK, Eley, Remington. It’ll not fire 2-3 rounds out of 10.

I know Kidd says use match ammo but damn, it’s annoying.

lurking for my first

Been in the 10/22 world a good bit and time for me to get a 457. Knowing I am going to change the stock, should I just get the cheap synthetic stock version? Is the action for all of the models the same with just difference of barrel length and threaded? I want it to be 17hmr btw.

Anyone else’s bolt not really staked? It’s got a good bit of play but I thought this was their match grade bolt.
