Why is API access restricted to employers only?

I’m developing a small app to provide insights to my finances and I just found out that I can’t access my own ADP payments information unless my employer pays for API access and allows me to.
I know this might be a niche case but please, consider changing this. Even if my employer pays for the API, it would mean that the second I leave the organization I can no longer access my old financial data though the API. Also, I just want to see MY data without the risk of over-provisioning access to the rest of the company‘s information.

After the last update the app lags on most sections.

For reference I’m running an iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 18.6.2.

Already tried removing and reinstalling the app.
The lag is horrible. I can’t scroll through contacts or in the settings, every animation looks laggy. Like when you turn on the Power saving mode on iOS.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Fix qBittorrent 5.0.1 configuration not saving macOS Sequoia 15.1

Recently after installing the latest version of qBittorrent and updating to macOS 15.1 I ran into an issue where qBittorrent would not save any config changes I made and every time I re-opened the app it would just give me the "this is a file sharing app...blah blah blah" warning as if it were the first time I was launching the app.

After some digging around the OS I found that the permissions for the folder where qBittorrent stores its config were changed and my user no longer had access, so in case anyone else has this issue here's how to fix it:

  • Go to your user's home folder under Macintosh HD > Users > WhateverYourUsernameIs.
  • Once inside you can press Command+Shift+.(period) to show/hide hidden folders.
  • You'll see a hidden .config folder with a little red warning icon in the bottom right corner. If you try to open it the OS will notify you that you do not have access to it.
  • Right-click on the folder and select Get Info from the menu.
  • Open the lock in the bottom right corner of the new Info window by clicking on it and typing your password.
  • Then click in the + sign, add your user and pick Read & Write from the permissions list.

This is how the permissions should look after you add your user.

  • Close the lock again, close the window and now you should be able to access the folder without problem and so does qBittorrent.

I hope this helps anyone that runs into the same problem. ✌️
