Is it worth investing small amounts or better to just save?

I’ve been trying to be a bit more intentional with money lately and was considering putting a small amount into investing each month. But at the same time, when the amounts are fairly small, I’m not sure if it actually makes much difference once you factor in fees, effort, etc. Part of me thinks it’s still worth starting early, part of me thinks it might be better to just keep things simple and save for now.

Not everybody wants to see you become better than the version they benefited from.

Right now it feels like I have to think about it constantly. For people who’ve been doing this a while, how do you make it feel more automatic and less… overwhelming?
