Is this a lamination error on the reverse of this 1944 P penny? Trying to understand this type of error and seems that the surface peeled away but the letters were left intact and undamaged so it didn’t seem to be PMD due to an object striking the area. Thoughts

Got this Penny today and trying to tell if it’s a woody , environmental damage or something else. Not really very good at identifying errors.
Finally found my first 2026 quarter in the wild today. Got it as change this morning. Haven’t received any 2026 coins in the wild so far this year even when hunting coin rolls. Nice design for the first one in the series. Look forward to finding more of the series.
Looking through some 2023 Pennie’s and think I found a 2023 extra V. I tried to do a couple of magnifications to give decent pictures. Maybe I’m imagining it but give me your impression. Thanks
Finally finished my 1941 - 1974 penny album. Challenging over the years to find wheat pennies and pennies from the San Francisco and Denver mints in my area. Any that I found were little victories. Happy collecting.
Good way to start the day. Searching a CWR roll of pennies this morning and found this Indian head and a couple of other wheat pennies . Wondering if it was a gift planted by a friendly customer. If so … Thanks and happy hunting to all.

Searching an old lot of wheat pennies today and found this. Not sure if this would classify as regular D or weak D. Does have strong reverse. Looks to be in good condition. Guessing Fine to Very Fine grade but I’m no expert. Nice way to start this morning search.

Sorting through new lot of wheat Pennie’s and found 1909 VDB. It’s beat up and obviously had some interesting travels over its life but happy it came to me to find a new home.
Found while searching coin rolls today. Looks like CUD error but never found one before. Questioned whether it might be PMD but void was filled and raised with no further strike beyond void line.
