So, I’m romancing Astarion for the first time (doing a resist Durge playthrough, for context)—I recently finished Act 2, got all the romance scenes, things seem to be going smoothly, but then I went to the circus to do the love test. I wanted to take it on my own first, and then just check my answers. These were my answers: 1. elbow deep in gore (Astarion approved), 2. Me (no approval nor disapproval), and 3. forever feeling like a slave (Astarion disapproved). He responded at the end that I know him better than he thought and that he’ll try to be more mysterious.

When I looked up his love test answers, the guide I found said that his response indicated I got 2/3 correct (and that I got 1 & 3 correct), but it also said that one of the correct answers for question 2 for a romanced companion SHOULD be “me”, and that Astarion should approve. But it counted as a wrong answer for me and didn’t garner approval or disapproval.

My question is: is this a glitch? Or is this an indication I may have messed up his romance? Or was that guide just wrong and “me” is never a correct answer?

For additional context, I haven’t run into his siblings or faced Cazador yet, but I have met the Gur and agreed that Astarion owed them revenge for their kids.

So this is my first time playing any video game with mods, and I’m 90% sure the mods are the issue here. (For reference, I play on a ps5.) I’ve previously played unmodded and didn’t have an issue with the creche. In this modded run, though, I’ve just reached the Creche, and once I get permission to enter from the githyanki lady in the front, I walk through the big doors and the game immediately crashes. Same thing happens when I go through the back entrance—I walk through the trading cave area and the game crashes the moment I reach the waypoint sigil.

Now, a few days ago, the in-game mod manager prompted me to update 3 mods (I think FaerunColors, FaeTaylor Camp Clothes, and Transmog Lite). After updating, when I clicked continue, a pop up asked me if I wanted to downgrade those 3 mods. I said no, kept playing without issue, until, of course, I reached the creche. Now, I’m stuck and don’t know what to do. I try to disable the mods—as well as literally ANY of the mods I’ve downloaded—but when I go to try and play, a pop up tells me I can’t play until I enable the mod again.

Do I just have to… start over? Or is there something I’m missing?? Any help would be so appreciated🙏
