Rigid Digit - Countdown-style daily numbers puzzle

Simple but addictive fun, for fans of NYTimes Games and puzzles. Combine five number tiles with + - × ÷ to hit the target exactly.

Four difficulty levels every day, same puzzles worldwide, every puzzle verified solvable. No ads, no sign-up, runs in the browser on desktop or (ideally) phone.

Made this with my puzzle-loving 9 year old daughter and it's definitely a fun one to play with family and friends.

See if you can smash all 4 levels!

[Self Promo] My 9-year-old and I built a nerdy little maths game in Svelte

It’s school holidays here in New Zealand, and my 9-year-old and I decided to build a puzzle game together.

We’re both fans of Wordle, Connections, and Countdown’s Numbers Game, so we ended up making Rigid Digit, a daily maths puzzle that's simple enough for kids to play but surprisingly challenging for adults.

The whole thing is built with SvelteKit, a fun excuse to build something together and to teach her a bit about how games are made.

It’s completely free, with a new puzzles every day. I'd love to hear any feedback on gameplay and how we can improve it. Cheers, Steve & Tui.

Stink news!! Flying Out record store has closed.

From their FB post:

This is the hardest thing we’ve ever had to write, but unfortunately it’s goodbye from Flying Out.

Over the last few years, a pandemic, 3 festival cancellations, the effects of ongoing roadworks, the CRL construction and the continuing economic downturn has become an unpleasant, perfect storm.

Flying Out has been a true labour of love, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it what it was – our F|O team (past and present), customers, suppliers, artists, and wider community. Your love and loyalty has been truly appreciated. What happens next is still being figured out - we will be in touch over the coming weeks.

Please go out and support small locally owned businesses (especially Record Stores!), they are a labour of love from someone in your community and supporting them supports your neighbourhood.

Arohanui and thanks again,

Matthew & Flying Out
