Seems we're getting a physical release for TheExpanse

This is great news for me. I'm definitely going to buy it. Personally I think a great game like this deserves a physical release. Not saying this is a confirmation but if it's a consideration I'm happy about.

Actual wolverine gameplay

What are your thoughts. I've been pretty satisfied with what I'm seeing so far. What are your thoughts?

Wolverine gameplay is out.

The basic suit is already taking me out. Can't wait to experience this. The scenery has very good colouring too.

I don't think they could have done anything better except make other mutants characters playable in the game.

Some advice as per the price differences for both games between Amazon and Smyths?

I'm normally happy to support local retailers, especially Smyths, and I like having a physical local store where I can actually go in and buy games.

At the same time, €22 isn't nothing and both games are the exact same PS5 releases as far as the actual games/discs are concerned.

What would you guys do? Take the savings and order from Amazon, or pay the extra and support local retail?

Interested in hearing what other physical game collectors and PS5 owners think, particularly if you generally try to support local retailers.

Sabertooth as a playable character

Hear me out: I know the obvious response is, "Why would Wolverine and Sabretooth ever work together?" but Batman Arkham Knight proved that you don't need the playable character to fit perfectly into the main story. Characters like Red Hood, Harley Quinn, Batgirl, Robin and Nightwing all had their own standalone episodes with unique mechanics and animations. They weren't forced into Bruce's campaign but they expanded the game and gave players new perspectives.

Back to Sabertooth. I think Sabretooth could work the same way. If they gave him his own side campaign or challenge missions. A short narrative where Victor Creed is hunting a Weapon X target, escaping a government black site, or simply carving a path through mercenaries would be enough.

Gameplay wise Sabertooth would feel very different from Wolverine despite sharing similar powers. Wolverine is precise and disciplined, agile and evasive with surgical strikes and more defensive counters. On the other hand Sabretooth would be more aggressive, have heavy, brutal attacks, longer reach with savage claw swipes with grab and throw mechanics and brutal executions. Maybe Less emphasis on dodging, more on overpowering enemies.

Think of Wolverine as a skilled predator while Sabretooth as an unstoppable apex predator.

Heck this can be done for Jean Grey and other X-Men characters which would greatly expand the fun. But what do I know, just sharing my thoughts.

Exclusive Collector Box for Resonance APTL

Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment have collaborated to release this Exclusive Collector Box and it comes with the following:

• A collector’s figurine of Sophia and Theseus, individually numbered

• An exclusive Steelbook®

• 3 art prints

• A replica adjustable metal ring

• An exclusive bonus will be offer for all the pre-orders.

Cost: €149 💰

What do y'all think? Is it worth the price, or is it a bit too expensive for what's included?

I personally would have just preferred a Steelbook Edition separately. The CE still looks nice though.

Pre-orders are now open at focus entertainment website.

Note: the collector’s box does not include the game 🤦‍♂️

Heritage Pack

I know it's a pre-order bonus, but does anyone know if the Heritage Pack for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will be obtainable later through normal gameplay or as separate DLC?

Is it safe to anticipate a Steelbook or Collectors Edition?

I do hope they're planning on a Steelbook at least.

007 First Light Feels Like a Playable 🎮 Daniel Craig Bond Movie

Daniel Craig’s Bond and 007 First Light feel way more aligned than people are giving credit for.

What stands out immediately is that both versions lean heavily into Bond as a raw, inexperienced operative rather than the polished “mission accomplished with a smirk” version from the older films. Craig’s Bond in was reckless, emotional, brutal in fights, and constantly learning on the job. First Light seems to be going for that exact same energy in gameplay.

The combat especially feels very Craig-era Bond. Instead of standing in the open firing endlessly like an action hero, the gameplay emphasizes scrambling through environments, improvising, hand-to-hand takedowns, and using gadgets tactically. That mirrors scenes from , , and where Bond survives through instinct and adaptability more than pure style.

Another similarity is the physicality. Craig’s Bond always felt human, he got exhausted, injured, angry, and messy. The gameplay footage from 007 First Light gives off the same vibe. The parkour, close-quarters combat, and environmental interactions look grounded and weighty instead of superhero-like. It’s less “untouchable secret agent” and more “dangerous field operative barely holding control.”

Even the tone matches the Craig reboot era. There’s a stronger focus on espionage, infiltration, and tension instead of pure spectacle. The game seems interested in Bond earning the 007 identity rather than already being the fully formed legend. That’s basically the central theme of Craig’s entire arc, especially early on where Bond is talented but emotionally immature and still becoming the man people recognize as 007.

What’s interesting is that First Light almost feels like a playable extension of the reboot philosophy that started with :

- younger Bond

- rough edges

- grounded action

- emotional vulnerability

- brutal hand-to-hand combat

- spycraft mixed with survival instincts

- less camp, more intensity

It honestly feels like the developers looked at why Craig’s era resonated and built the gameplay identity around those strengths rather than trying to recreate the older gadget-heavy, ultra-suave versions of Bond.

If anything, 007 First Light looks closer to “what if you could PLAY Craig’s Bond” than a traditional Bond power fantasy.

What do you think?

Finally, with 007 First Light dropping in 6 days, I’m finally getting around to a long-overdue rewatch of the Daniel Craig Bond films 🍿🎥🎬

The Story of the V12 Vanquish and the Road to Aston Martin Valhalla

Most Bond fans don’t know this, but the custom Aston Martin V12 Vanquish built for after Die Another Day was reportedly destroyed in a fire years later.

The same car that became one of the most iconic modern Bond Aston’s gone. Sadly, burnt. Finished.

What makes that even stranger is that now, as the franchise enters a new era with 007 First Light, is once again front and centre with the Aston Martin Valhalla, almost like Bond history is repeating itself.

The V12 Vanquish was peak early-2000s Bond. Invisible car tech, the Iceland chase scenes, and a V12 soundtrack that sounded expensive even standing still. Brosnan’s era basically re-established Aston Martin as the Bond brand for an entire generation.

And the Vanquish itself felt less like a luxury GT and more like a Cold War weapon disguised as one. Hidden missiles, machine guns, target-tracking systems, ejector functions and of course the legendary adaptive camouflage system that made the car invisible. But it was unforgettable.

Now compare that to the Aston Martin Valhalla in 007 First Light.

The Valhalla looks like the modern evolution of the same idea. Less fantasy gadget car, more stealth fighter on wheels. The hybrid hypercar design already looks military-grade before Q Branch even touches it. Where the Vanquish was built around outrageous spy tech, the Valhalla feels engineered around precision, speed and intimidation.

Two completely different eras of 007.

One built around fantasy spy gadgets.

The other built around tactical realism and modern hypercar aggression.

But both represent the same thing: Aston Martin turning Bond cars into myths.

Kind of wild when you think about it:

- Brosnan’s personal/custom Bond Aston ends in flames

- The franchise gets reinvented

- Aston Martin immediately returns to define Bond’s next era again

Personally I’d say the Action Martin Vanquish lived up to is name & vanished.

I'd like to believe that Bond cars don’t really die. They just get rewritten.

And honestly, if 007 First Light nails the Valhalla reveal the same way Die Another Day did, it'll blow fans minds.

Still curious what everyone thinks is the greatest Bond Aston Martin of all time:

- DB5

- V12 Vanquish

- DBS (Casino Royale)

- DB10

- Valhalla

- Something else?

Has IO Interactive confirmed whether the golden gun skin in 007 First Light well ever be unlockable in-game later on?

I know it's currently tied to the Legacy Edition, but I'm wondering if they've said anything about it becoming available separately after launch, like an unlockable reward.

IOI did something similar with some hitman content eventually becoming available later, so I'm curious if anyone has seen an official statement or interview about this.

I'd also like to know if this is something 007 fans like myself would fancy.

Was browsing for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and noticed it’s going for €44.95 on Amazon, while Smyths here in Ireland has it at €54.99 👀

That’s a €10 difference for the same game… kinda wild considering Smyths is usually pretty competitive on pricing.

Anyone know if there’s a catch with the Amazon version (region, packaging, etc.), or is this just one of those cases where it’s smarter to order online?

Trying to decide if I should support local or just save the tenner 😅

Curious what others would do, is Smyths worth the extra €10 maybe for returns, or nah?
