Can anyone help identify this constant chirping sound?

This noise is constantly coming from the garden behind ours. We thought it was a bird at first, then a sprinkler, then we wondered if it was meant to scare cats away.

We can hear it from inside our house with the windows open and it's getting annoying.

The neighbour is on a different street to ours and we've never met them so it's not as simple as just asking (not big on talking to strangers lol).

What is this teeny-tiny chocolate?

We found this on the floor of our downstairs bathroom. It looks like chocolate and melts with body heat. We have not and will not taste it. The longest piece is about 2cm in length. We did have an 11 year old in the house at the time but she was asleep when we found this and it wasn't there when she went to bed. We checked all of the different treats we have in the house and nothing had these tiny squares or any similar pattern. We checked our slippers to see if the tread could've printed this but nothing is even close. We can only assume that we have Borrowers in the house. (Banana is utilised to indicate relative size for comparison)
