Should I learn a few words in German for my trip?

In Paris now, and had to learn a few words (I don’t mind, it’s fun) and use them to get around or Parisians would be especially rude lol. Is it the same way in Berlin? If so, what words should I try?

I’ve seen different answers elsewhere, where some Germans say they would find it annoying to have us try, and others think of it as a kind gesture.

Hi Berliners, my wife and I are taking our first trip to Europe together and 4 days in Berlin. I spent 3 days on R&R with the Army a few years ago and had the most fun I’ve had in my life. I’m so excited to take her.

When I went I had no itinerary and we just randomly explored the city with friends. This time is much more planned and coordinated! One of the things I do want tips on is nightlife. My wife loves clubs, and I love more relaxed bars. So we hope to do a bit of both.

Please give some recommendations for your favorite clubs with great dance music vibes, as well as some laid back bars for our less energetic nights.

My wife and I are taking our first trip together to Europe this month and we are extremely excited. I have been to Berlin before for a weekend while I was in the military but not as a civilian doing it all on my own.

We’re looking for any tips and hacks you can think of. Even the most “no brainer” things, whether it be safety, convenience, things to try/places to go or just just good to know information 🙂

We’re going to Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin. 4 days in each city. We have our hotels, flights, Eurostar, and global entry all set up. We’re doing some food tours, bike tours, a concert, museums, and a day trip to Versailles.
