Hot Take: Katarina Jones is giving me Kathryn Janeway vibes…

I started watching 12 Monkeys for the first time several weeks ago. I’m currently about four episodes into season 4. Jones is my favorite character but the actress reminds me so much of Janeway from ST Voyager. And they even have the same initials. Anyone else see it or am I the only one? (Also please no spoilers for the show!)

A question about Delenn’s Character Development…

I was listening to a B5 podcast tonight and there was an interesting discussion regarding the evolution of Delenn’s character. The argument was that in the first three seasons, we see Delenn as this strong, fierce, independent person but then after Sheridan dies at Za’ha’dum, she becomes softer, more worried about losing him and then by season 5, her character sort of takes a back seat to Sheridan and we never get the Delenn of the first three seasons back. Delenn is my favorite character so I don’t know how I feel about this take. I thought the show made it clear they were equals and while we saw more of Sheridan’s political role in season 5, Delenn was still having a great impact on things behind the scenes….we just didn’t get to see it because JMS chose to focus on the breakdown of her relationship with Lennier instead. Curious what other people think. Do you feel Delenn’s character development stalled in later seasons or was it just a product of the shift in storytelling for her character?

Lennier, you rascal you

This was the first Babylon 5 video I ever made. Looking back, I’m still not entirely sure why I chose Lennier. My feelings about his character became complicated after season 5, and on rewatch, they’re even more complicated.

Woman in Love | A Sheridan & Delenn Fan Edit

A tribute to Delenn’s love for Sheridan and their journey together throughout Babylon 5. This was my first full-length B5 fan video, and it felt like the perfect edit to share as the first video in this new community!

Delenn’s love for Sheridan

It’s been a while since I made a longer fan video, but I just recently got into B5 and felt compelled to create this one. Delenn is my favorite character on the show, and I thought this song suited her love story with John perfectly, so I wanted to try to tell that story through her eyes. I know romance (and shipping 😂) isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I hope some of you will enjoy it!🙏

A question about Delenn’s transformation….

I know the prophecy called for Delenn to become half-human, but to what end? Was it simply meant as a symbolic act—one that would help bring humans and Minbari together to fight the Shadows—or was the ultimate purpose to unite the two species so completely that they would eventually become one?
From an evolutionary standpoint, hybrids are often unable to produce viable offspring. When hybrids can successfully reproduce, however, it can be an indication that two populations are genetically close enough that the boundaries between them could eventually disappear through continued interbreeding.
So I wonder if the prophecy was pointing toward something much bigger than Delenn herself. Perhaps, far in the future, there would no longer be separate Human and Minbari species, but a new people descended from the joining of the two—beginning with Delenn and Sheridan and their son. Could that have been the ultimate purpose of the prophecy all along?

Adama & Roslin

Made this video years ago when I first watched BSG. Thought I would share it here for anyone that enjoyed Adama and Roslin’s love story.

Sheridan’s tactical brilliance has an interesting consequence…

I’m fairly certain Sheridan showcasing his tactical brilliance in this scene has Delenn suddenly remembering those Minbari pleasure rituals 🤔

Find someone that looks at you the way Delenn looks at Sheridan…

The Reverend Dexter was right. You know she loves him every time she looks at him.

Interludes and Examinations Episode 3x15

Currently doing a rewatch of B5 and this was the second time I watched this episode and wow this episode was just 🔥 Every single storyline was compelling in this one, especially this scene with Sheridan and Kosh. Definitely a favorite for me. What did you all think of this episode?

The name David…

I always thought the reason Sheridan and Delenn chose to name their son David was because that was Sheridan’s dad’s name. Then last night I was rewatching WWE for the third time and I see that Sinclair’s
Middle name is also David and I’m wondering if Delenn chose it too in honor of her friend and also >!Valen!< If it was an intentional thing by JMS I love how I didn’t find it until my third rewatch of this episode…

Sheridan and Delenn’s first “official” kiss…

At some point between Seasons 2 and 3, Delenn apparently concluded that the fastest way to get Sheridan to finally kiss her was through a generous gift of heavily armed warships. And the crazy thing is… she was absolutely right.

Which alien race was your favorite?

I saw a similar question on one of the other messages boards and I thought this is a cool question to pose here! For me personally, I love Minbari culture. If you can get past the arrogance of certain members of the warrior caste, everything Delenn says is completely compelling to me. The idea that their purpose is to serve, that souls can find each other again across different lives, that we are the universe trying to understand itself — I love all of it. The rituals, the spirituality, the sense of connection and meaning…even the flarn! I’m here for it!

Don’t F—k with Delenn!

I’m not sure which is the greater burn, the death stare she gives him at the end or the use of the word “goodbye.” Either way he looked like he was gonna cry when she was done with him. And this is why she is my favorite character.🔥

It always seemed odd to me that John was so surprised by Delenn’s pregnancy.

Do you think he was afraid if he said something it would alter the timeline or that the memories of time travel degrade rapidly?
