Curious… How much are y’all spending on monthly payments? How much down payment and months are y’all financing for? How old are you?
If you feel comfortable… how much do you guys make a year? Just curious on other peoples situation.

In my late twenties and have a a little saved in my retirement (\~70k) at 29. Living with parents but still helping to pay my fair satire of bills/rent. I make about 90k a year and am putting around 10% into my 401k with a 3% match. I’ve been wanting to get a nicer car ( I know, I know) but the opportunity cost of investing that over 30 years and letting it compound is making me hesitant. On one hand I do want to enjoy life at this age, on the other I want to make sure I’m at least being smart about having ‘enough’ for retirement and getting a house later on. I’m sure several of you are/were in a similar boat, just curious on the responses. I’m looking to finance about 30k after putting 20k down.
Obviously it’s pricier out front, but are repair costs much more than a non-raptor ranger? I hear the shocks can be expensive, but I assume this can be replaced by non-fox shocks?
I’m wanting to get a ranger raptor, and I know it’s relatively expensive but seems like it’s a pretty reliable truck. My main concern is the long term maintenance of it, I’m planning on keeping this at least for the next 10-15 years or so, but seems like most people on here plan on dumping this truck once it gets to 100k miles? Is longevity that much of a concern? I thought the engine/transmission on these are solid from what I’ve read, haven’t seen any issues reported by those that own it in Australia since it’s been out there for longer. Is the main concern the repairs on the turbos? Is is that much more expensive to maintain than a non-raptor Ranger ?
