Shower clogged, help!
We’ve been having issues with our shower and toilet backing up for a bit. We'd be showering, the toilet gurgles, then the shower backs up. Usually plunging the toilet helps, but what's weird is my kid's toilet would clog too and sometimes water would back up in their tub before I get it plunged. Well recently it has clogged up so much that plunging would not help, although it's just effecting our master shower and toilet, not the kid's. Then we got some black water that started to come up out of the shower drain. We have not used this side of the house for about a month now while dealing with this, just the two bathrooms. The other side of the house has the kitchen, laundry, and another bathroom and there are no issues there. I live in a small rural town and plumbers are so backed up that I can't get any of them to even call me back. So I went and bought a drain auger and attempted to snake our shower. I got it pretty deep, maybe 10-15 feet, and pulled out some black gunk but it is still not draining. Any suggestions for me to try? I may just have to try calling a plumber from the nearest city and pay whatever they want to get them out here.
