What are your perennials that always come back after winter?

Mine are yarrow and valerian in the sun and hosta in the shade. Everything else is just iffy.

More bugs this year!

Seems like lots of people are posting about bugs eating their plants this year. I have the same problem. I’m guessing it’s due to the mild winter we had where the usual colder temps would have killed more of them off. Ugh!

Would this be too weird to plant in this scenario?

I have a nice lawn and am able to keep it green by watering just two days per week because I have trees for shade. MOSTLY…that is because I have a couple strips or spots where it gets full sun and the grass is frying. So how weird would it be to cut out a couple circles of grass and plant some ultra drought resistant plants in those areas in an otherwise sea of grass? Seems like it would be kinda fun.

Leaks where 1/4 inch barbed piece goes into 1/2 inch tubing for drip irrigation.

I am getting leaks where the 1/4 inch barbed piece goes into the 1/2 inch tubing on my drip irrigation. This is for brand new installation and the first hole I punch. What could be the issue? If you have a leak here, what do you seal it off with?
