Bucharest
I love how Bucharest have so many parks and very walkable. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia and we do not have a lot of green space. I definitely had a very pleasant first time visit to Bucharest. Looking forward to come back 🥺

I was taking a nap, then i dream about being stopped by a policeman and he asked me for ID. When he is about to take out a fine ticket he was so chill about it “dont worry you’ll just have to pay the fine, if you dont want to, then you only need to attend the court”. Then the police takes his phone out and show me one stupid reddit post “look, people are funny. And you, you make mistakes sometimes its ok”
Then he asked whether i know reddit and ask me to be friends with him.
After that i go to the clinic to get a vitamin shot, then the doctor began saying things she read on the r/AskDocs and not long after she scribbled down her notes, she was asked outside because of emergency. The one who came in for emergency was the police officer from earlier.
I went with 0 expectation and was absolutely thrilled by how good it was!! I had the Lemon Celtic Brew, tasted like Coke infused with whisky and it smells really good.
It was empty because i went there Tuesday night but it was perfect to wind down after such a long day. Thank you Ong for the hospitality! 🥰
Tap Tap KL @ Hartamas
In 2023 i visited this cocktail bar in the chinatown area. Its called Her House KL. But they’ve closed down. Any recommendations of similar vibe and quality of cocktail?
Thank you!
Jadiiii aku punya temen yang propose mau masakin carbonara dan bikinin authentic tiramisu nanti ketika aku visit dia di Bucharest. In exchange, dia mau aku masakin masakan indo. Aku bingung mau masakin apa.
Kirakira masakan indo yang impressive enough and masih possible buat dimasak di negara yang tidak banyak asian store (bahkan mungkin ga ada) itu apa ya?
Nasi uduk ayam kalasan?
Sate ayam bumbu kacang?
Edit: surprised banyak banget yang respond. I’ve taken note of it all! Thank youu! 🥺💖
Hi, i’m going to Europe for the first time. It’s a business trip for a week in Bucharest. I will be working from 9am to 6pm Tuesday to Friday. I’ll be free on Monday and Saturday (need to go to the airport by 6pm Saturday bcs flight is 9pm). Not posting dates here for privacy reasons. I’m wondering what to prepare, where to visit, what to enjoy, and if i could take an interesting day trip anywhere for the Saturday.
A bit about me: i’m a woman in my early 30, enjoy padel, pilates, boardgames, books, coffee, tea. I love pasta, pizza, burgers, i’m enjoying more savory treats than sweets. I do love ice cream though. I also love cocktails! I enjoy the classic negroni and whisky sour. I enjoy looking at arts even though i dont understand them.
I’d love to take a look around the museums (but there are so many in bucharest 😂), then i want to stroll around and try the local cocktail but not sure which area is safe to roam around as a single woman. There are a lot of interesting parks as well.
I’m all giddy, nervous and excited 🥺 any recommendations are welcome! I will be staying in Calea Plevnei during the trip. I also dont mind learning to ride the tram/metro/bus nor spending on Uber.
