Heart broke. My boy killed my cat.

I don’t know what to do. I went outside to say goodbye to my son, maybe three minutes, and when I came back in my year and a half old GSP had attacked and killed my daughter’s cat. He’s not been friends with the cats to this point but this never seemed plausible. He’s my best friend but I don’t feel like I can keep him. We have another cat and a smaller dog. He gets along with the dog fine. I’m destroyed. I don’t know what to do.

Dealership wrong about transmission?

I recently called my local Dodge/Jeep/Ram dealership parts department to ask for a transmission filter. The guy at the parts department asked “how many miles do you have on it?” to which I stated 76,000 and it was due for service which I would do on my own. He told me never to do that because the “transmission is permanently sealed and never has to have the fluid and filter changed as long as the truck is still running.” I’m assuming this is wrong and I should never go back to this place. I did change the fluid and filters by the way.

Training help?

Need a little help. I have a 14 month old GSP (Baxter) and he’s an amazing boy. Started training him to hunt at 5-6 months old and he’s just been a joy to train. He’s been super easy, quick learner and my best friend in the woods.

However over the last three weeks he’s been doing something I don’t understand. I live amidst a large national forest and we train/exercise for about 1-2 hours a day once or twice a day both on leash just walking and off leash more directed bird training.

We use an e-collar but rarely need it. Three times now he’s failed to respond to the collar just BOLTS away from me and runs home from as far away as two miles. He’ll get home and just wait at the front door for me or for my wife to let him in. It’s almost as if something scares him.

I’m worried about him getting hurt, lost or taken in an event like this. I plan to get a GPS collar (suggestions for models?) before hunting season this year (rapidly approaching) which will at least help me find him if it happens again. I worry about him running off when we travel far away to hunt.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Reservations with potential Reta use.

I have been considering starting Reta. I’ve been chasing body recomp for a couple years now and have made dramatic changes. But I have reservations before I start.

Background:

45yo M, I went from 265 to under 190 at my lowest weight (at 5’ 10”.) over the last two years. I’m currently sitting around 18% body fat at 200 pounds. Made that with just diet and weight lifting. I’m the strongest I’ve ever been. I bench around 450-460 on a good day.

I’m currently on Test. 200mg/week split to two doses. Test was legit low, under 100. Also on Tesa.

I’m concerned about anhedonia. I have heard stories about losing interest or pleasure in things. I’m specifically concerned about the sexual side of that. I don’t want to lose what I have with my wife. We’re in a great place and it took some effort to get here.

I also don’t want to commit to a lifelong program of pinning with something additional to what I already have due to cost, convenience, and potential future availability.

My plan is to start VERY low and go very slow. I’m very disciplined and have the ability to manage this.

My rationale for wanting to start is that I have STRUGGLED with body comp since I was a kid pretty much. The food noise in my head is CRAZY. I am never not hungry, never not thinking about my next meal. I think Reta may help both of these.

Additionally I am aware of the neuro cognitive effects and general longevity effects which is another world I chase.

Any insights would be helpful. Hope this is not too much to read. Thanks.
