Every day I come out and another pepper has been munched. There are other plants fruiting nearby but they only go for this one. What could it be and how do I control it?

Not entirely sure of which variety this plant is because I had a bit of a labelling mishap earlier in the season, but I suspect it's a lesya sweet pepper. I'm just really confused about the wildly different shapes of these pods and was wondering if anyone had an explanation. I know not every pepper on a plant is going to be the same and that genetics will play a part, I just haven't ever seen such big variation from a single plant before.
