Is my bike a Supermoto or Naked 👀

Is my bike a Supermoto or Naked 👀

What you guys reckon? Or class the Gen 3 KTM Duke 690 as?

Obviously the newer Gen Duke look completely different, naked bike etc.

Mine has a SM690 seat installed which doesn’t really look much different to the bike, but to me, which is why I bought it (this vs a 09 Sm690 with duel exit exhaust at the back)
I went for this over a few things but 1 was the clean rear ended no exhaust & love how the exhaust can sits underneath the bike.

And the fact it looks quite cool with the alien lights.

But would you class it as a proper supermoto? I always wondered why they made this Gen but then also the obvious 690 SM model.

Vibrations & clocks starting to go? 690 Duke

So I’ve recently just got my Duke 690 Gen 3 a couple weeks ago.

Absolutely love the bike, rides over 30 mins though can get my right hand a little numb from the vibrations.

2 questions if anyone can help? Main one being the clocks are starting to sort of dip in and out of pixels on the numbers and temp bars. I know these were replaced on my bike around exactly the same mileage it’s on now, 7500 (replaced around 7500 ago)
Anything I can do to fix this? Or is this internal and on their way out?

2nd is it so normal once your doing like 50-60mph+ up to 70-80 that the mirrors just become unusable? They’re vibrating so much everything behind is just a blur 😂

Apart from this, man I’m in love with my bike so much. Still getting used to it, still learning the roads and how it rides etc being newly passed my test!

She’s finally home - first ride Duke 690

Finally picked up this absolute beast this evening, was a very wild experience riding it home for around 1 hour 20 mins.

Not liking the motorway ride 🤪 bit choppy but the twisty roads were fun.

Couple of questions for the 690 guys?
Are these engines meant to sound so ticky?
Ride was great, just need to check the throttle cable as it kept locking on to about 3-4k revs 🤦🏼‍♂️

And is the temp gauge ok? Not far off max!

One step closer to collecting my new bike 👀

Preventative maintenance going on with the Duke 690 I bought, including a service, valve clearance, new rocker arms etc

Can absolutely not wait to go and collect this.

Just passed my test, paid a deposit, excited 😎

First ‘big’ Bike Duke 690

Hi all, new here, first post & I just wanted to share my first big bike that I’m hopefully collecting Friday.
(Just passed my Mod 2 a couple weeks back with 0 minors also 👌🏼)

With the hope also to maybe get some advice?
It’s a 2008 Duke 690 with the alien looking lights, personally I prefer the look to the newer shape, it’s more supermoto style?

Anyway, it’s done 15k and the guy who is selling it has a bike garage & we’ve agreed a deal with him doing the valve clearance check, new tyre, new mot & a service.

My question is, as I’ve already researched the bike (nearly bought a Jap bike for reliability) whilst he’s in there.
Shall I
a. Just ask to fully inspect the rocker arms, removing and full checking them out. If they are ok just leave them in?
Or B. Just buy them & send them to him & get him to replace regardless for preventative measures.

Thanks for any advice, (hoping I’ve not paid over the odds at £3000, does have some nice bits on it, has some service & it is absolutely mint, clearly been well looked after!)
