I’ve had an admiration for the e36 since high school when I rode in a friend’s m3 a few times. The sound of the straight 6 and aesthetics has made me want one for the past 20 years. Now being in a comfortable position, is it worth spending 17-25k on a decent e36 m3? I’ve always had JDM toys (rx7 and 300zx), then a 340i. I loved the 340, but always felt like it was too floaty. The b58’s power and sound was amazing, but nothing compares to the feel of a manual.
Did driving/buying an e36 exceed your expectations?
