glue seam finish on new GEL-Nimbus 27 from fk, or should I exchange? (Passed Poizon check)
Hey everyone,
Just picked up a pair of ASICS GEL-Nimbus 27. I ran them through POIZON authentication and they passed, so authenticity isn't an issue.
However, taking a closer look at the join between the knit upper and the FF Blast+ midsole, I noticed some visible glue lines and slightly fuzzy/rough edges along the seam. When gently pulling the outer knit edge, the lip lifts slightly, though the underlying bond seems intact.
Attached photos showing the close-ups along the midsole and the PureGEL area.
I do have a replacement option currently available, so I can easily swap them out if this is actually a defect.
For those who own the Nimbus 27:
- Is this standard factory variance / cosmetic glue finish for this model?
- Has anyone experienced actual separation or durability issues down the road from seams that look like this?
Appreciate your input before I decide whether to keep them or use my replacement window!
