Holy grail
8-9 months ago I would have never imagined I'd be having a retinoid and azelaic acid in my routine. Now there's no going back.

8-9 months ago I would have never imagined I'd be having a retinoid and azelaic acid in my routine. Now there's no going back.
Here's mine.
Polish brand
This has a really unique feel. It’s like a gel, but when you first spread it onto your skin, it almost feels like melted wax that has hardened. As you rub it in, though, it seems to break apart and transform into water. Your skin literally feels wet afterward, like you applied a serum, which is completely different from any cream I’ve tried before.
This product is perfect for my morning routine, especially under sunscreen. You could also use it in the evening, although I personally prefer a heavier cream at night, such as Happier Barrier from Geek & Gorgeous. The big brother of this product, the Corneo Sensilium, might also be worth trying for your PM routine . I may review that one too.
In terms of its role and strengths, I’d compare it to Hydration Station from Geek & Gorgeous, although the two products feel completely different on the skin.
Which team are you on? I'm still trying to decide if I need an exfoliant or should stick to retinal and azelaic acid for my actives.
I'm using 8 products total rn, 3 steps in the morning and 3 at night : 2 cleansers, 2 moisturizers, 3 treatments which I rotate in the evening ( retinal, azelaic acid, bha), sunscreen.
I might try to cut smth out, but it works really well .
The spf has been posted in this sub before. Cheap, still sticky to me but probably better than other spf hand creams.
The hand serum is really good. I don't have dry hands, but sometiems , if I wash my hands too often , I might feel them dehydrated. It is sticky for like 30 seconds , but if you rub it in it goes away completely.
Haven't tried them , feel free to leave your reviews in the comments if you did.
EDIT: DON'T NEED HELP, JUST SHARING MY ROUTINE AND PRODUCTS I HAVE MY EYES ON, feel free to give sugestions or ask questions if you want tho
AM cleanser: Jelly Joker from G&G, HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice 5.5 cleansing gel. Might try: Bio Balance Cica Soothe Hello Clean, SVR Physiopure, and other cleansers.
Hydrating cream or serum: Hydration Station from G&G. Will also try Hyaluro-Sensilium A from Pharmaceris. I also used Power Peptides from G&G under my sunscreens. I might make it a permanent part of my routine if I feel like I need it, but right now I prefer having something focused on hydration.
Sunscreen (too many to count): Zero Feel G&G, Eucerin Oil Control, Haruharu Wonder Airyfit, Purito Daily Soft Touch, SVR Extreme, Neutrogena oil control spf 50 etc.
Will try many more
PM cleanser: ma:nyo Pure & Deep Cleansing Foam. I did double cleanse for a while, but I think one cleanser might be the move for me. I really enjoy it and I'm still open to trying other cleansers.
I will probably try this cleanser in my AM routine too once my skin is 100% stable, in theory it may be too strong for my morning cleanse, but it'd be cool to only need one product.
Retinal: A-Game 5 from G&G.
Azelaic acid: Metroruboril A.Z from Isispharma. Also want to try Azeane from ACM.
Exfoliant : still a little unsure what to chose and how often
Currently using Calm down from g&g with PHA and BHA, might hop on their salicylic acid Porefectly clear, and if I like the 2% bha, I might look for a more affordable one , like the Anua toner with 2%. Also used Cheer up, also from g&g , but I think my barrier was too weak for it + retinoids at the same time.
Moisturizer (heavier than my AM one): Happier Barrier from G&G. Purito panthenol Mighty Bamboo moisturizer. Want to try Corneo-Sensilium A from Pharmaceris and Epitheliale Ultra Repair HA+ from A-Derma.
If so, what skin type do you have, when did you use it(am or pm or both) and what do you think of it.
Do you reapply your sunscreen?
Do you use the same cleanser AM and PM or gentler one in your morning routine?
I'm currently using a korean foaming cleanser for my PM routine(Pure&Deep Cleansing Foam) , and it seems to clean really well but I'm looking for alternatives. Maybe strong enough to cleanse in pm but gentle to cleanse in am ( too greedy? ). Did double cleansing but since switching to this korean cleanser my skin seems better.
Currently eyeing SVR physiopure and sebiaclear cleansers and LRP Lipikar gel lavant.
also in am routine I'm using jelly joker from G&G
Sunscreens used: zero feel from geek, acnimat heliocare , eucerin oil control, haruharu airyfit, svr extreme etc
I use this combo, and I don't think I will stop, since I mostly use water resistant sunscreens, I sweat a lot and have combo skin, prone to clogged pores. My skin also looks good since I'm doing this, but I'm also doing a lot of other things like retinal , exfoliation etc.
That being said, are there people who can use some very water resistant sunscreens, like the LRP oil control fluid for example, on a regular basis and get away with only a water based cleanser?
I know they also come in different strengths : Jelly joker from g&g is very gentle, whereas Cleanance cleanser from Avene is pretty strong, some find it drying but will most likely be better at washing off sunscreens.
Or maybe you use the same water based cleanser twice?
I have tried : svr extreme, svr blur , p20 sensitive skin, p20 urban shield( a sample, have to try more), haruharu airyfit, skin 1004, cien with niacinamide, heliocare acnimat, biobalance sun spot , G&G zero feel, se reskin spf.
I'm gonna test the others in the upcoming months; they all have a lot of time left until they expire , so I'm good on that.
If you have some body spf recs I'd be happy to hear, currently using the p20 one. I'm also looking at some balea spfs and one water spf from SVR that claims not sticky.
edit: also tried Avene ultra fluid Invisible, didn't like it .
About me : male, combination-normal skin (slightly dehydrated) , short facial hair, not prone to breakouts.
This sunscreen cost me around 9 -10 euros for 40ml (full price).
Good protection, new filters, water/sweat resistant. (40mins)
Smells like sunscreen, just like the ones I remember using as a child. Not a bad smell, its just nostalgic.
Velvety finish , reminds me of the haruharu airyfit spf, I quite like it. Easy to apply and spread, no white cast for me. Doesn't take too long to settle (hair doesn't stick to face).
No pilling for me . It interacts ok with my beard, maybe just makes it a little shiny.
reef-safe, cruelty free
It did have very quick and mild eye stings, but for like 3 minutes. Then i would go to the gym , and altough i sweated , I'd be fine, no more stings.
12months PAO, altough you should finish it in a month tops if you use it correctly.
Overall I'd give it an 7.5/10. If I didn't have other sunscreens that are 9s and 10s, this could be my main.
