Yassine Hssine becomes the 20th man under 20 in 2026
This ties 2024 as the most men ever under 20 seconds in the same year.

This ties 2024 as the most men ever under 20 seconds in the same year.
Coleman and Mena become the 43rd and 44th athletes already this year to legally break 10 in the 100. That adds to what was already the most individuals ever in a year. Will we make it to 50 guys breaking 10 in a year??
PS we are already at 19 guys under 20 seconds in the 200 this year, which is one short of 2024’s most ever.
With Nene’s time today, he becomes the fifth athlete to break the 44 second barrier in 2026. The most ever is five in the same year (it was either 2024 or 2025, I can’t remember and the World Athletics site is currently unresponsive). With two months of competition still to go, it appears likely that we will see the most ever athletes breaking 44 in the 400, the most ever breaking 20 in the 200, and the most ever breaking 10 in the 100.
So the question I pose is who will be the next to post a sub 44 this season? We may not have to wait long with Eugene coming up next week.
When the Paris Diamond League feed is scheduled to start at 11am, five minutes after the first prelim of the 110, and then the feed fails to launch on time and viewers end up missing 3/4 hurdle prelims, it makes it hard to justify charging 40 (or 30 dollars) per month. It is so frustrating and the constant broadcast issues further damage the growth of the sport.
Can’t wait to hear from the *totally not employed by Flo* users in this sub.
He posted a 10.01 in the heats. Nkoana becomes the 41st athlete to break the 10 second barrier in 2026, which was already the most ever.
The 21-year-old posted a 10.00 in the semifinal round and followed it up with a South American record 9.85 in the final.
Adjibi and Castro going under 10 means 40 athletes have now broken the 10 second barrier in 2026 alone.
LG PQX75 with a green pixel. Horizontal and vertical line going in each direction, top to bottom. Am I cooked?
See the attached article, strong field already announced. The men’s 100m has Tebogo, Simbine, Coleman, Bednarek, Bromell, Lachy Kennedy, and Ferdinand Omanyala. And we will get an early season showdown between Tinch and Muratake in the 110 hurdles.
Mando is set to make an appearance in the pole vault.
Warholm, Dos Santos, and Bassitt. I can’t wait!
Both are running the 200m, at 7 and 7:15 pm EST, respectively. They are both also running tomorrow, with Norman in the open 400 and Alfred in the 100.
I know there are quite a few meets this weekend and I'd love if we could compile a list of elite runners and their start times.
Enjoy. I’m not sure who all is participating but it’s professional track!
