When did "get a job" stop being the answer to not getting enough OSAP?

As a younger millennial who went to university fresh out of highschool and has now returned as a mature student, I'm not understanding all these posts about not knowing what to do because people aren't getting enough funding.

Not to be like back in my day, but back in my day everyone I knew (myself included) , knew if you didn't get enough funding or if you wanted spending money, you got a job. I was in the same situation as most of these posts when I first went to school, my parents income was too high but couldn't contribute, so funding only covered like half my tuition and residence, so I got a job and worked 25 hours a week. Yes it was hard doing school full time and working so much, but you make do and tough it out. And I know the job market is ridiculous right now, I have a niece and nephews just about leaving highschool and they tell me how difficult it is, but these posts aren't saying I'm not getting enough funding and I can't find a job to cover the rest. I'm not sure if I'm just part of a different generation, but there weren't that many students I knew that didn't work in some kind of way during school.

Spring Term - Release Date Keeps Getting Pushed

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say if your release date keeps getting pushed back with no apparent reason why, it might be worth calling into NSLSC to see what's going on. My release date went from May 5th to 8th to 13th then finally to the 19th this morning. Finally got fed up because there was no apparent reason why, my COE was processed in April and there was nothing else standing out. Turns out that there was some sort of miscommunication between the CRA and NSLSC (or at least that's my understanding, I called NSLSC but was transferred to a CRA department), and my approval was actually given April 30th it just wasn't processed on the NSLSC side.

They've now processed it and I should receive my funding in the next few days. Wanted to mention it in case anyone else is in the same boat, it could be worth calling in if you're not seeing a specific reason why the release keeps getting pushed.

I'm going to be in school for the summer term and I applied to OSAP a couple months ago now I think. Everything with my application is good and I got confirmation from the school, now it's just a matter of the funding being released. On OSAP it says my funding should be released between today and May 4th, but the NSLSC site says estimated date is May 8th. Any idea which one would be more accurate?

Tonight's Purple Sky

Got a bit of our indoor light reflected, but the colour of the sky tonight was crazy, never seen anything like it
