[No spoilers] Hey, new reader here!

(remove if not allowed) I’ve recently started reading a game of thrones and have never watched the show, im about 300 pages in and absolutely gripped by it, but i do have one concern.

i can keep track of the main characters, all the houses and stuff, but all the maesters and sers and stuff are hard to recall. and all the random black brothers, too. do the rest of you remember their names and roles, or do i pick it up easier as i go on reading?
