Thought this jump deserved its own post.
There have also been reports of him practicing Malaguena today!

Sharing this because it popped up on my TL in light of recent events! Unfortunately the cameraman did not focus on the important part (his feet).
Edit: The full segment this clip is from (thanks, u/_Exegy_ !)

As a side note, the jacket that Ilia's wearing is a gift from a fan! In each new picture I see, I find a new patch.

From SOI in West Valley City.
Filmed during the Wilkes-Barre SOI stop!
In this interview, we get some more insight into his plans (or lack thereof) next season as well as what went wrong at the Olympics.
After 15 years, it’s the end. Thank you to everyone who supported us and believed in us throughout all these years. Thank you, Zach, for the journey we shared together.
It’s important to truly love what you do. When you’re passionate, genuine, and aligned with your values, anything is possible.
Yes, it’s the end of a major chapter, but also the beginning of a future I’m very excited about ⛸️💫

>Recipients of the award will be honored as individuals who harness the power of sports and culture to connect people, spark dialogue, and strengthen international cooperation—building a new era of diplomacy.
>Ilia Malinin, also known as the “Quad God,” boasts a myriad of international figure skating titles: 2026 Olympic Games team event gold medalist, three-time World champion (2024, 2025, 2026), three-time Grand Prix Final champion (2023, 2024, 2025), seven-time Grand Prix gold medalist, four-time Challenger Series gold medalist, and four-time U.S. national champion (2023–26). Beyond the medals, his influence runs deeper, showing how sport can transcend borders, bring people together, and serve as a universal language that connects cultures, communities, and generations.
I will be adding this event to our subreddit's schedule.

This is Ilia's third ceremonial first pitch - he's previously thrown out the first pitch for the Red Sox and the Dodgers.
At every show prior to Springfield, the men would perform that spin during the bridge of the song. I used the footage from Greensboro as an example. They were seen planning this change in the Wilkes-Barre Stargazer, and now they've gotten around to performing it in the actual show.

On SOI:
“You get such a different feeling, such a different rush when you see us live. When you’re watching through a TV, you don’t understand how fast we’re flying by and how high we’re actually jumping.”
“It’s so fun for us to be around other Olympic-level athletes and enjoy the beauty of skating without having the expectations of a competition. I’m just so happy to be a part of this team.”
On his music choices and choreography:
“A lot of it is music I want to skate to. I actually often do my own show program choreography now so it’s more fun for me and I feel more intimate with it. Hopefully, that can grow into me choreographing my own competitive programs, too.”
What are some of the most valuable things you learned from your parents and Raf?
One of the most important lessons is taking everything one step at a time and going with the flow.
That’s something that’s helped me achieve what I want to do in the sport. I also recently learned it’s okay to be different and stay authentic to yourself. You don’t need to live up to other people’s expectations.
Which skaters inspire you?
There’s a few that stick with me. Yuzuru Hanyu is one of the my favorites. He’s like a God to me. He helped me find my style with his technical abilities and passion on the ice.
Nathan Chen, too. He’s really been an inspiration for me. He’s so consistent. Kurt Browning’s another one. The way he presents himself ice on the ice is so amazing.
Any crazy stories from the tour you can share?
Not necessarily crazy stories but we’ve been to a few cool places. We went to Universal and that was amazing. We went with pretty much the whole cast and had quick access to all of the rides and all the attractions.
Even being on the tour busses and going from city to city is always so fun.
Have you started working on next season’s programs?
I have not, because I am still not sure what I want to do next season. I will have to see how I feel after Stars on Ice. So I’m still taking things one step at a time.
Since you’ve landed the quad axel many times, how do you keep pushing the envelope with your skating?
It’s more about finding things I can work on. That might not always be technical elements- it could also be improving my skating skills, improving my spins, finding new ways to be more creative and finding new concepts and programs.
I always come from a mindset of wanting to improve more and more, and that’s how it helps me push my limits every time, just to keep one-upping myself.
Who are you most proud of on the tour?
Alysa Liu. I’m very proud of her because of everything she’s had to deal with after the Olympics. She’s a huge name in skating now and is the inspiration for all of us.
What’s a typical training day like when you’re on the road with Stars on Ice?
Usually we just get to the next city and have little time to rest. Then, we head to the rink halfway through the day to set everything up, check out the group numbers and see how the show is looking. After that, we have our individual practices to get us ready for the shows and then it’s showtime.
Which musical artists would you like to see live?
I would love to see NF live again but I’d also love to see Falling In Reverse, Babymetal, Skrillex, Ray Volpe or Sullivan King.
First clip was filmed by my friend's friend. Not the highest res vid, so I decided to wait for another to appear. TheIliaSociety uploaded a crystal clear 4K video by jailyngl, but there's a head obstructing the view, so here I am uploading both clips here to reddit so y'all can enjoy this combo in all its glory.
This video is dedicated to u/possiblegirl, who just learned today that Ilia did 4A's off of a back counter entry. Made me realize that there must be a lot of new fans who haven't seen these jumps, so I'm sharing with the class 🤗
